I urge all the Armenian soldiers to lay down their weapons and cross into Azerbaijan together with their parents, mother and sisters

Baku. Agha Jafarli – APA.  New video message of Armenian soldier Andranik Grigoryan, who voluntarily crossed into Azerbaijan, has been released.

The Armenian soldier clarified the reasons of his crossing into Azerbaijan in the video, the Defense Ministry said a statement.

APA presents the message:

“I, Andranik Araratovich Grigoryan, was born in Berdashen village of Martuni district in 1991. I was drafted as a military contractor in April 2012. I crossed into Azerbaijan on March 22, 2015.

I didn’t feel good in Nagorno-Karabakh. We were mistreated. Thus, I crossed from Nagorno-Karabakh into Azerbaijan.

I urge all the soldiers to cross into Azerbaijan. I witnessed how the servicemen are treated in Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijanis don’t want a war, but they have a strong defense. Our leaders are lying to us, sending the people to death for the sake of their own interests.

I am already tired of the pointless war and don’t want to die. We are well taken care of in Azerbaijan and I am well provided with clothing and food. I feel very good here. I urge all the soldiers to lay down their weapons and cross into Azerbaijan together with their parents, mother and sisters. There is only reason that I crossed into Azerbaijan - not to die, but to live."

Serviceman of the Armenian armed forces, Andranik Araratovich Grigoryan, born in Khojavand district in 1991, left the military unit and voluntarily surrendered to the Azerbaijani side on March 22 at about 13:50. “I do not want to be the next victim of their dirty games. The horrific conditions in Nagorno-Karabakh, indiscipline in military units, lack of ammunition, shortage of food and medicine, conflict between the local Armenians and Armenian Armenians, officers’ bad attitude towards the soldiers and ensigns, disorder have worn me out. There are a lot of people tired of living in such conditions and wanting to cross to Azerbaijan like me,” he said.
