94 Azerbaijani servicemen, 2 military doctors and 2 sappers are participating in the peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan
Baku. Agha Jafarli – APA. A group of 35 Azerbaijani soldiers, who are serving under the NATO-led “Resolute Support” mission launched in Afghanistan from January 2015, were seen off to Afghanistan on a rotating basis, the Defense Ministry said on April 15.
The peacekeeping contingent of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces has been serving under the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan since November 20, 2002.
Currently, 94 Azerbaijani servicemen, 2 medical officers and 2 sappers are participating in the peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan.
