Baku. 2 April. REPORT.AZ/ International Conference The Great Victory Anniversary: living memory through the generations will be held on April 6 in Baku.Report informs citing the TASS, in forum held by the political science centers North-South with the support of the International Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of CIS member states, will bring together experts, scientists and historians from Azerbaijan, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, veterans of the Second World War, representatives of the public organizations.
Along with the plenary, the meeting will be held in two thematic sections: The memory of the war and the war of memory and The image of the Second World War in the media.
Deputy chairman of the Social Policy Committee of the Federation Council Lyudmila Kozlova, executive director of the Political Science Center North-South Yulia Yakusheva, director of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vyacheslav Danilovich, famous Azerbaijani writer and public figure, MP Elmira Akhundova, veteran, military journalist Alexander Gritchenko will make speeches.
On the Second World War fought up to 700 thousand natives of Azerbaijan, more than half of them died on the battlefield, 123 - received the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union, 14 - became full holders of the Order of Glory.
