Azerbaijan detains its nationals, who fought for Taliban and IS

As a result of anti-terrorist activities of Azerbaijan’s National Security Ministry, a group of Azerbaijani citizens, who fought for the terrorist groups Taliban and Islamic State, was detained, said the ministry Apr. 9.

The Main Investigation Department of the National Security Ministry has initiated a criminal case under articles 12.1, 279.1 and 283-1.3 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.

The operational and investigative measures on the criminal cases are underway.
