Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. As of March 1, 2015, number of Azerbaijani population made 9,611,700, up 18,700 persons or 0.2% from early 2015.
According to State Statistical Committee, density of population made 111 persons in a km². Each 1,000 men are equal to 1,009 women. 53.1% of population are in cities, 46.9% in villages. 49.8% are male, 50.2% - female.
In January-February, 2015, 18,500 babies were born in the country. Of this, 53.6% are boys, 46.4% - girls.
9,400 deaths have been recorded since early 2015.
