Tokyo, April 9 AZERTAC
Azerbaijan State Information Agency (AZERTAC) and Japanese JIJI PRESS will sign an agreement on cooperation.
The signing of the agreement between the leading news agencies of the two countries was adopted at the discussions between the leadership of the JIJI Press agency and Director General of AZERTAC Aslan Aslanov in Japan in 2012.
The experts of the two news agencies continued the work over the draft agreement and the last version was prepared.
The agreement will be inked as part of a visit of Executive Director of the Jiji Press agency Sadafumi Tani to Baku. The agreement will see the two agencies expand relations, exchange experience, hold reciprocal visits and information exchange.
The agreement will be important in terms of delivering Azerbaijani realities, as well as the popularization of the country`s successes through Japanese JIJI Press agency.
“JIJI Press is interested in signing the agreement with AZERTAC. This agreement will play an important role in further expanding relations between Azerbaijan and Japan in the field of information,” Director for International Affairs of Jiji Press Hiroshi Masuda told AZERTAC`s special correspondent in Tokyo.
AZERTAC cooperates with Japanese Kyodo news agency since 2010. AZERTAC which is the bureau member and vice-president Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies has active relations with the two news agencies within the organization.
