Lavrov said they also held discussions on the Nagorno-Karabakh problem, adding that Russia would continue its efforts for the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict to be held by peaceful means through the mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group.
Nalbandian, in turn, expressed his gratitude to Russia for making great efforts toward the settlement of the conflict, noting that Armenia is committed to a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
Russia hopes the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will not enter the hot phase, Lavrov said.
“Russia dismisses any thought that the military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh will enter hot phase and will further continue its efforts toward the Karabakh settlement,” Lavrov underlined.
