Bahar Muradova: Despite smear campaign, Azerbaijan will successfully host first European Games

Baku. Mubariz Aslanov – APA. Some international circles have already launched a smear campaign against Azerbaijan on the eve of the first European Games to be held in Baku. The campaign is being carried out through the media outlets controlled by these international circles.

Vice-Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament, Bahar Muradova who is on a visit to Turkey told journalists APA reports.

She expressed concern that some international circles seek to use sports as a political tool.

“This is unacceptable. And such a smear campaign launched against Azerbaijan cannot be accepted in any way. So I think our media too should do something in response to that campaign. To do that, both Azerbaijani and Turkish media must put together some joint work. Nevertheless, Azerbaijan will successfully host the first European Games,” she stressed.
