Azerbaijan Parliament Speaker meets Rapporteur of PACE Political Affairs Committee

Speaker of Azerbaijan`s Parliament Ogtay Asadov has met Rapporteur of the Political Affairs Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Robert Walter.

The Parliament Speaker said Mr Walter had a difficult mission, and praised his activity as “just and principled”.

Mr Asadov touched on the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, saying Armenia took a non-constructive attitude to the Council of Europe resolutions on the dispute.

Mr Walter said he would compile a report amid recent tension in the Nagorno-Karabakh and adjacent occupied lands.
