Baku – APA. The attack of the Armenian sabotage group was prevented.
The Defense Ministry said that the Armenian reconnaissance-sabotage group attempted to attack the positions of Azerbaijani armed forces on March 11, APA reports.
Thanks to the high vigilance of Azerbaijan’s soldiers, this attempt of the enemy was detected in advance. After an intensive firefight, the Armenian forces were forced to retreat by suffering heavy losses.
Atayev Anar Mamed, an extended serviceman of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, was killed during the firefight.
The Defense Ministry’s leadership offers condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased soldier.
