International conference on cyber security kicks off in Baku - PHOTO

Baku. Malahat Najafova – APA. ADA University is hosting a two-day conference on national security in information era organized by the OSCE Project Coordinator in Baku and Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The conference is attended by about 90 representatives and experts on cyber security from more than 30 state and private organizations.

OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Baku Alexis Chahtahtinsky, U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan Robert Cekuta, Head of International Security Department at the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Gaya Mammadov, Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ismayil Alper Coskun, Charge d'Affaires of Estonia to Azerbaijan Jaap Ora addressed the conference moderated by ADA University Vice Rector Fariz Ismayilzade.

They spoke about the importance of international cooperation in ensuring cyber security, Azerbaijan's achievements in this field and the existing cyber threats occurred around the world. The event was followed by speeches in the panel discussions.                                

The event is the part of OSCE Project Coordinator’s project on prevention of cybercrime and fight against it in Azerbaijan.
