Armenian military exercises in occupied Azerbaijani territories escalate tension in region – MFA

He said that Armenia’s holding military exercises in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan is another expression of the use of force and threatening by force.

“The illegal “parliamentary elections” to be held in May in the so-called regime established by Armenia in the occupied Azerbaijan territories is an integral part of Armenian political and military provocation. Instead of starting the work on the Great Peace Agreement, supported by the OSCE Minsk Group, Armenia undermines the process of negotiations through political and military provocations. To change the unacceptable status quo and achieve a solution to the conflict and the restoration of peace and stability in the region, Armenia must first withdraw its occupying forces from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan,” Hajiyev noted.
